Shoo Fly!

There I was, minding my own business walking and enjoying the beauty and my peace. Then this pesky fly began to buzz around me! Immediately, I felt the peace drain from my body as I tried to swat it away! Then my mind went into action mode thinking of all the ways I was going to prevent a fly from biting me next time I went out for a walk. Bug spray, long sleeves, face net, hazmat suit, grenade! Then that still small voice said, "you have the authority, use it!" Then I remembered creation, where God gave us dominion over the animal kingdom. Then I remembered Jesus giving us his authority on this earth! So, I used it! I told all the bugs to stay away, that I have authority in Jesus name! I said it every time I saw any bugs! Do you know they buzzed around me, but they did not land on my body! Hallelujah! 

In this life, the enemy wants to drain our peace and take our joy. He sends things to pick, agitate, bug us (see what I did there ) and steal everything God has given us. Do not let him, USE YOUR AUTHORITY! Don't let him buzz around you! Swat that bug! It doesn't matter what the circumstances are, use your authority! Don't give your gifts away. 

Father God, we love you so much. We thank you for today! Than you for giving us your authority and all the gifts. Help us to see the devils schemes and exercise our authority! Holy Spirit, remind us that we are not weak! We are more than conquerors! We are set apart! We are chosen! We have purpose! We are loved by a good, good Father. We do not agree with the devil or his assignment against us, we STAND against him and his demons with our feet firmly planted in you Lord! We silence all of voice and badgering the enemy is using against us. Remind us to put on your armor, Jesus! We love you! By the power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name, on earth as it is in Heaven. Amen!
